About Us
At Fishing for Change, our mission is to empower and teach children through the transformative power of fishing and the outdoors. We believe in the profound impact that connecting with nature and learning the art of fishing can have on a child's life. Our goal is to
provide meaningful opportunities for these young individuals to discover, explore, and develop
important life skills including patience, perseverance, problem solving, and teamwork through
the joy and challenge of fishing.
Through hands-on education, mentorship, and access to fishing resources, we aim to build confidence, resilience, and a sense of responsibility for the environment in our participants. By creating a supportive and inclusive environment, we strive to inspire a lifelong love for fishing, the outdoors, and sustainable practices.

Adam Davidson
From the time I could hold a rod, fishing has been a space where I can relax and enjoy the beauty of nature. At the age of five, I took my first steps into the world of angling, taught by my father at the Brookline reservoir. Little did I know then that this seemingly simple pastime would become a huge and important aspect of my life and become my focus for positive change. With each cast, I discovered more than just fish; I unearthed essential life lessons in patience, resilience, and environmental stewardship. As the years have passed, my love for fishing and the environment has only deepened, evolving from a hobby into a passion. I've fished from the Madison River in Montana to the Costa Rican coast, catching fish and enjoying the adventures fishing brings. It was this passion that led me to co-found Fishing for Change alongside my close buddy and fellow angler, Luke Campanella. Together, we hope to empower kids through the transformative power of fishing and the great outdoors. Our vision is to provide every child, regardless of their background, with the opportunity to experience the joy and enlightenment that fishing can offer. Through Fishing for Change, I am honored to be a part of something greater than myself, spreading the ripple effect of fishing one person at a time.
Luke Campanella
My name is Luke Campanella, a native of Boston, Mass. I started fishing at the age of three with my grandfather and cousins in Winnipeg, Manitoba. I am a passionate angler who hopes to instill my love of fishing in kids and young adults through this project. I have fished all over the continent, from lakes in central Canada to the tropical climate of Florida, and the rugged terrain of the Rocky Mountains. I love the tranquility, the challenge, and the excitement of a fish on the line, and these characteristics have taught me many important life skills such as perseverance and patience. This project is important to me because I want to provide the type of opportunities that I have been so lucky to have to those that might not otherwise get an introduction to such a great sport and pastime. Driven by my passion for angling, I strive to give back to the community and respect the environment as I mentor the next generation of potential anglers. In addition to fishing the Boston area, this summer I will be heading to Montauk, Montana, and Canada to fish for everything from sharks to rainbow trout. In addition to my passion for fishing, I play hockey and lacrosse year-round, and I golf and downhill ski.
